John wrapped principal photography on his directorial feature film debut with "The Hag of McMinnville" featuring over 40 local actors. He's served as the Assistant Director for a local TV program "Beaver State" and the recent feature film "The Great Divide" and played the lead in a short by Galin McMahon called "Building Dreams". He wrote and directed "Jackie" and "The Diary of Valerie Thompson", both films winning a total of three awards (Best Oregon Film: "Jackie" (Oregon Short Film Festival), Best Drama Micro Film: "The Diary of Valerie Thompson" (Oregon Short Film Festival) and Best Local Film (McMinnville Short Film Festival)).

       He's set to play a lead in Ghoul Capone Pictures' short "Those Who Long to be Held Closer" and two direct two more shorts this year; "Picnicker Liz and the Fall of Johto" and "Rustboro & Kelly".
